DIDAC Training Courses
Summer 2010 we were instructed by Didac Woodwise Training Academy to supply a number of machines together with tooling for a Training workshop.
The machines were supplied in August 2010 prior to their open day. All machines were supplied Refurbished, Braked and Guarded to comply with current P.U.W.E.R. '98 legislation. At the bottom of this press release please inspect not only the machines but our TWS Quality.

Jon Gibson of Didac Ltd, a specialist training provider into the woodworking sector is pleased to announce the official opening on the 27th of September 2010, of a brand new training academy at Crews Hole Road, Bristol.
The Woodwise Academy was opened by Dr John Chudley, Apprenticeship Director of the National Apprenticeship Service, South West.
John said: “In recent years, Apprenticeships have become more and more responsive to employers’ needs. The National Apprenticeship Service has been established to grow Apprenticeships and we welcome the launch of this Academy to enable Didac to offer more flexible Apprenticeships to Bristol employers.
The Academy will provide a state of the art training for learners looking to develop their individual or personnel skills in the furniture and woodworking trades. The Academy will work with local Employers, Schools, Colleges, Connexions and Job Centre Plus.
The Woodwise Academy has been made possible through grant matched funding awarded to Didac Ltd by the Learning and Skills Council*.
Jon Gibson, Managing Director of Didac said: “ There has long been a need for specialist training provision within the Woodworking sector. The Woodwise Academy will enable us to deliver the quality training and qualifications employers expect both on and off of their sites. This facility enables us to deliver a broad range of skills in a bespoke training workshop and expand our delivery to the unemployed or school based learners wishing to take courses in Construction and Manufacturing Diplomas.”
The Woodwise Academy will deliver traditional wood machining, tooling management, woodworking, furniture, kitchen manufacture and upholstery in workshop areas. This will be supported by a range of training suites to deliver theory and relevant CNC or IT skills. Didac Ltd, an approved City and Guilds centre for over 15 years will use the Academy to expand the provision of certificated qualifications into industry, tailored to employer needs.
Didac Ltd is already recognised as one of the leading training providers in the UK timber sector and the Academy has already attracted both nationwide and overseas interest. Jon Gibson added: “We are continually developing the range of courses available to employers and learners and we pride ourselves on delivering quality qualifications. We firmly believe The Woodwise Academy will become recognised as the UK Centre of Excellence woodworking training provision.”
